Bridget Bazile is a native of Metairie, Louisiana and currently resides in Lyon, France.
She graduated from Tulane University, the University of New Orleans, and attended the University of Oklahoma. Bazile is a winner of the prestigious Leontyne Price Competition, a finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council in 1999, and received first prize in the Meistersinger Vocal Competition in Graz, Austria in 2001. Bazile has performed lyrical roles in operas by Purcell, Puccini, Mozart, Handel, Verdi, and Gershwin. She was the principal soloist of the New World Ensemble, Moses Hogan Chorale, and the Moses Hogan Singers. Her appearances include performing as the principal soloist at Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall in Chicago, and the Lyon Sacred Music Festival in Lyon, France. Bazile was nominated for the «Best Gospel Performance/Song» at the 2021 Grammy Awards for her work on the «We Need a Word from The Lord» track, from the Inspirational Melodies album, by Rickie Monie. She is acclaimed worldwide and recognized as one of the most eminent classic gospel singers and spiritualists of this generation.
